Done! (well, almost..) :: 17.09.2007
Leverage's second album is now mixed, mastered and ready for shipping to the factory (okay, there are still covers to be made, but not my job!). I am so out of the studio! See ya all later!

8 out of 10 :: 11.09.2007
Yes, 8 songs out of 10 mixed! The day our second album is finally done will be this friday. We will mix the remaining 2 songs on Thursday and Friday when Tuomas arrives Jyväskylä. Then we will put the right versions of all the songs ( yes there are several!) on DVD for Tuomas to take the material with him for mastering. The guy who will do the mastering is Mika Jussila at Finnvox. He also mastered "Tides". He is really, really good.
After that the album is ready to go to the factory (first the cover art must be done, naturally). Then we will just have to wait pationally for the album to be released sometime early 2008.
I can`t believe that we are so close to finishing something we started at the beginning of this summer and the writing process even months and months earlier. In one way it will be a sad moment to let go and let it fly on it`s own. It has been truly an incredible and unique experience. I`m pretty sure that I will be out celebrating on Friday a "bit". Just a couple of "sodas" as we say here.

More on the mix :: 6.09.2007
Two more songs done!
We finished "King of the night" - a song we started working on yesterday - and "Sentenced". This is going too well!!! These ones were a bit less complex as far as the arrangements and instrumentation goes and because of that they were a bit easier to mix too.
There will be more problematic songs ahead just waiting for us to pull our hair out and get our blood pressure sky high! But when things go this smooth the mixing is a lot of fun even if it`s a really hard work. It`s very easy to loose your concentration and skrew everything up.
In the morning we`ll start working on a really fast track called "Run down that hill". I bet there lies some serious and larger than life challenges there. A lot of notes on the solos!

Alone in the studio - by Torsti :: 4.09.2007
What a crappy day in the studio!
Jari stayed at home today with his new born son (yes, they had a baby last weekend! Cool and congrats for that, dude!). Anyway, I decided to do all the mixing set up for the rest of the songs myself. That is one of the things I don`t enjoy at all in making of an album - but it has to be done. It`s all just that boring techinical stuff like importing the tracks to the mix set up, insertin EQ`s, compressors, effects and all that. Also making submixing groups for different intsruments.
I went thru the phase coherancy still one more time just in case because we used a lot of multi miking. Actually on everything else but the vocals and nothing sounds crappier than multi miked signal out of phase! I got all this done but I`m beaten up.
Mr. Michael Wagener showed us a couple of really cool tricks that we are using quite a bit in the mixes. The tricks make Valtteri's drums rock like B-52 bombers. In one song there is over 120 tracks . That was a shock because you never really count them until at this stage (The whole album takes now a bit over 120 giga bytes of hard drive space). That is a lot of tracks considering that there is no over dubbing on guitars. Tuomas`s guitar in the right speaker and mine in the left one. Solos just on top of them on the same sides. One or two clean tone guitars on 2 of the songs.
How the hell did we end up with so many tracks? Well..... 3 tracks/ every guitar, 4 tracks on bass, 6 tracks on snare, 4 tracks on kick drum, cymbals, a lot of all kinds of weird recorded ambience tracks (on drums, acustic guitars and backing vocals - in some songs a lot of those), a billion stereo synth tracks( lead sounds, pads, orchestral and what not...), some special FX stuff and a whole bunch of effect tracks such as reverbs, delays, harmonizers and modulation effects. Oh boy it`s a miracle we can keep a track of it all! So far so good!
Well that was a lot of technical info there but I figured that some of you might be interrested of that stuff.
Rock on,
T

First song mixed with some tips from the top! :: 2.09.2007
Stormchild is finally mixed after 3 days of pure hell. The first song is always a pain in the b..t because that's when you decide how the whole album is gonna sound. And it`s BIGBIGBIG! I love the song. A real up tempo rocker! After the first song it`s always down hill. Things will come together way easier even if we ran into some problems here and there. You just have work them out no matter what it takes. Mixing is a weird process actually. When you start mixing a song you think that it will be an easy job. But once you get into it you realize just how much stuff there that needs careful attention! It`s all in details you know. But as soon as the song starts to open up it`s a rush!!! The guys in the band were blown away when they heard the mixed version of the song first time and that feels great because Jari and myself put some serious effort into it. But hey, no time to open the champagne yet, 9 more songs to go plus some bonus material.. (Okay, maybe I'll have a couple of cool ones at some point...) One of the biggest legends of heavy rock Mr Michael Wagener - the guy who I really look up to - was kind enough to spend 5 days with us in our studio. The workshop he gave us was just incredible. For those of you who don`t know him here's a few things worth mentioning: Mr Wagener has worked with some of my all time favourite bands and artists such as Metallica, Ozzy Osbourne, Queen, Dokken, Extreme....the list is endless( 88 million albums sold - check out some of his discography). He is without a doubt the nicest guy in the business and boy he can make stuff sound SO GOOD! We learned so much and laughed together as much. The guy is so funny! We had a nice long dinner every day after we had stopped working. I think I have never eaten so much in my life than in those 5 days! The days were long. Every day from 7 am to 11 pm. I think they we the most enjoyable studio days in my whole life. We recorded some stuff with Leverage and studied some mixing stuff A`la Wagener. Pekka H. was going to piss in his pants just for meeting the guy like probably all of us did! Ok. I better try to get some rest now. We had s show in Tampere yesterday and yes, I had a couple of those cool ones... from L to R: Janne Kettunen (owns the Studio with Torsti and helped us in recording the drums), Mr. Michael Wagener, Torsti Spoof

Lead vocals, pt.2 :: 23.08.2007
By Pekka Heino:
Fri August 17th
Ok, so I had 5 songs left to sing for the album. The previous sessions went really well so I hoped for the best and feared for the worst with this one...I was supposed to go to Jyväskylä on Monday 20th but things and timetables changed so that I was able to get the damn thing out of my system already during the weekend.
Left Helsinki around 9.30 am and drove straight to Jyväskylä, no coffee breaks or anything. The weather was perfect and I was well prepared with some terrific CDs for the journey. I was blasting Van Stephenson, John Waite, Autograph and whathaveyou...Should´ve kept that break though, nearly pissed myself when I got to the studio.
Thought I´d better start with the 3 songs that are gonna be on the album, get them outta way and then do the 2 bonus songs. It was around noon when we started operating. The set-up was pretty much the same as before so I went at it straight away. First song was 'Heart Of Darkness', a great traditional melodic hard rock piece music written by Torsti. Cool song to sing and it was done very quickly, I think 15 minutes all in all. We always have a break after finishing one song, this time the break was not needed but we went for it anyway.
Next I thought I´d go for another Torsti written song, a BEAUTIFUL ballad called 'Learn To Live'. Tuoppi´s lyrics to this brought tears in my eyes the first time we demoed this. No kidding. I went for it with all my might, another 15 minutes and it was done. What a song, love it. We´re thinking of closing the album with this one.
Ok, then on to the tough little fucker called Hellhorn. Heaviest Leverage song so far and easily the most difficult song to sing on the album! This one ended the previous session where my head was about to blow up. This time it was a lot easier as I only had sung two songs which basically means I was warmed up, not dead tired like then. It´s high notes and machine gun kind of lines where you have to remember to breath at right places or it all goes tits up. That´s Hellhorn for ya. It´s MEAN and I can´t wait for you to hear it.
At this point I was about to congratulate myself as all the songs on the European version of the album were now done. BUT I still had those two bonus songs for the Japanese market, so on with the show. First one was 'Yesterdays'. We hadn´t demoed this one at all so it took a little time to get it right. A great melodic hard rock feel to it, liked it!
'Rockethead'. A fast, melodic song with lyrics based on a true story of a man meeting his maker on the canyon wall. Don´t ask me, ask Tuoppi. Anyway, I struggled with this as this was also the first time I sang this. But managed to pull it off in a decent way.
That was it! That´s a wrap! I did it! It´s gonna be a killer!! It´s still Friday!! Let´s go and drink mindlessly!! Which is exactly what we did. Thanks to everybody involved, this album is gonna be massive in both body size and spirit.
Laters,
Pekka

Lead Guitar / TH :: 20.08.2007
A bit on the solos... We have plenty of guitar solos on the new album.There are songs with one going first and the other one following,in some of the songs there are a couple of pretty long passages by either Torsti or me. Like Torsti, I like to record my solos alone. That way, you can use all the time you want in trying to get things right without having someone watching over your shoulder (and glancing the clock...). I recorded mine in a small room at our music school in Espoo with a ProTools setup. For my lead parts, we did what is called re-amping, I recorded a "dry" guitar signal, bounced it to CD to be sent to the amp at Studio Audio and captured from the speakers. That's kind of funny, 'cause listening and fiddling with the buttons there you hear a "ghost" guitar player in the studio. The ones we've re-amped have sounded pretty good to me. Of course, you don't want to listen to the dry signal when playing/recording, that's the same sound you hear when someone plays the electic guitar unplugged, all "ploing-ploing". I split the signal into two, the other being the dry signal connected to the recording input/track that was muted and the one I listened to going through a Line6 modelling preamp for getting a feel of a real distorted amp sound. I used the guitar pictured for most of the leads, yes it's a Gibson LP Custom, I don't take it out to gigs anymore. I'm happy to own an ESP 7-string that is a damn good guitar, I played the hell out of it for rhythm tracks, it's just a bit of a burden to play solos with compared to an equally good 6-string. It's gonna be fun live, again... TH Anyway, it's all done and delivered to Studio Audio for re-amping. I think both Torsti and me seriously outplayed ourselves compared to what we came up with for 'Tides' as far as pure chops go. You be the judge. Solos, damn guitar solos... Later.

Some solos and what's still ahead... :: 19.08.2007
By Torsti: Mamma mia! All my guitar work is done! I`ve been recording my guitar solos during the last 10 days by doing a solo here and solo there whenever i had time. I didn`t want to play too long in a time, because after a couple of hours of playing i´m not playing the best i can anymore since my hands start to get a bit tired and then it`s time to stop. But this time everything went really well and smoothly. My hands were in good shape this time around. Those tendon problems that gave me a lot of problems during the recording of "Tides" were well under control and that was a big load off my back. I was well prepared, had done my homework and because of all this i really enjoyed playing and recording. I recorded myself so there was a total peace for me to try to get 110% out of me. I think this was the first time ever i did not feel any sort of pressure what so ever. It`s really fun to play when you are totally relaxed. Many times i came to the studio very early in morning, did a solo or two and then i continued other parts of the album production with Jari. Although i have a lot of guitars i only used my new ESP-custom shop for the whole record ( except for some clean tone parts which i recorded with my ESP Strat.). I got it this summer and i truly think it is the best guitar i have ever played. I never was a fan of active guitar pick ups before but this one really turned my head around. Sounds amazing! The amp i used throughout the whole record was my Bogner Extacy with a Bogner 4x12 cabinet. I recorded using 3 different mikes on the cabinet the whole time to get the different parts of my tone on tape. There were no processors, stompboxes or any of that stuff. Again only the guitar, cable and the amp. That is the way i like it. There is a couple of songs where i played probably the most extreme guitar stuff i can possibly come up with at the moment. For example a song called "Run down that hill" has a killer guitar/ keyboard battle between Marko Niskala and me ( In that one you might be able to hear some of my influences in the guitar world.). Recording the whole album has been a wild ride so far. A lot of fun even though it's a lot of work. The next task is to record some more backing vocals with Anthony (Machine Men) and Sami Asp (Wingdom). I even might open my mouth on a couple of tracks.. you never know. At the end of this week we are going to have Michael Wagener over for 5 days to give us a recording and mixing work-shop. I can`wait for that because that guy is one of the biggest legends in the business. He has recorded and produced some of my all time favorite albums. After that we are going to play a gig in Tampere and then the mixing of the new album begins. It will be an absolute hell again like always. We have planned to do it in about 2 weeks. The mixing is always the most intense part of making of an album at least for me. It is hard, hard work but really rewarding at the end. After that 1 day in mastering in finnvox with Mika Jussila. Then maybe some photoshoots and then i`m off to Korfu Creece for a 2 week holiday ( If i`m still alive!). I`ll keep you guys posted how the mixing goes. Cheers, Torsti

Keyboard sessions 14-15.7 and 20.7-12.8.2007 :: 15.08.2007
All right, time to tell about the keyboard-sessions.. The recording and arranging of keyboards took place in the basement of our house, where I built a little home studio last winter Let's get into it... The whole thing started on July 14th with session building. Big thanks to J. Mikkola who assembled all the necessary audio files to a DVD, so I was able to make sessions for Cubase. Well, the next morning the sessions were quite ready, so it was time to start to record the first song. That song was 'Stormchild', we had played it live for a few times so this was the best choice to start with. On this first weekend I also had to spend a lot of time to get familiar with my new Yamaha, I did not have much earlier experience of Yamaha synths. So this weekend went quite fast and I didn't get any other songs even started. :( Next week I was normally on duty and in the evenings I did not have time to record things. On Friday the 20th started my vacation of two weeks started, it was booked for these recordings only. In my opinion, this is the best way to make these kind of things happen, because the only slowing issues are nights when you have to get some sleep. ;) So in the first week of vacation I got most of the songs into some kind of shape and on Friday T. Heikkinen came to visit for a little meeting on what I had done. After the meeting I had some modifications to make and a couple of songs were practically ready. Next week went quite fast and I got the modifications and stuff ready for most of the songs we went through in the meeting with Heikkinen and in the early evening of Friday the 3rd it was time to do some file-transfer-things in Studio Audio with J. Mikkola. We got file transfers done just before the 'horror twins' Heikkinen&Heino arrived to studio for some singing sessions. On Saturday the I fought with bonus-songs and got the basic things played during the day. On Sunday the 5th I slept quite long and decided to keep one day-off-of-everything. I spent it wandering and wondering around in the forest and fishing on the home lake ...a perfect day to end the vacation. From Monday the 6th to Friday the 10th back on duty and a little working with music in the evenings, not much thou... From Friday the 10th to Sunday the 12th I worked on a couple of songs which I did not get ready during the vacation. I got things into a pretty good shape during weekend... Some solos are left to stumble with and also some melodic issues need modifications. These things I’ll be looking into with T. Spoof...probably on Friday the 17th Ou jeah, it's going to be one hell of an album...well, you'll hear and hopefully you’llbe as satisfied as I am:) M. Niskala August 13th 2007

Background vocals - Studio Tauko, Espoo :: 10.08.2007
By TH: After Pekka's huge weekend in Jyväskylä we had another job to do starting Monday; the background vocals. Them bastards are all hard work work with very little fun. The thing is that you have to call up people you know that are good singers and ask them to sing a million short lines to spice up mostly bridges and choruses. You'd miss something if they weren't there, you'd ruin your music if they were sang bad, and yet in our stuff they are not very high up in the mix. Again, like with Tides, we had a great group coming to sing: Pekka, Kimmo Blom and Jason Flinck. Those three sound really good mixed together, Jason's got that sharp high end, Kimmo has great pitch, timing and rhythm along with a wonderful rasp and Pekka can sing with that satin tone. Here's Jason ready to go. Yki Buckbee, the owner of the music school where yours truly works, and the studio downstairs, was running the machines. I had demo back vocals with me, we put those in place for reference and also routed a guitar signal to the recording room's headset so that I could review the melody to whoever was up when needed. Some lines I had figured out on a synth, and we had those audible, too. OK, so one of the guys would start and sing the lowest voice of the arrangement through the whole song, then the other two would do the same. Then we'd move to the next voice and so on. A lot of waiting, listening real closely etc., somewhat exhausting work. Check out the faces of the guys waiting... It was the hottest day of the summer so far, the temperature must have hit 30 C inside the control room,so obviously we had to take breaks outside in the garage hall. We pushed until 11.30 PM. The following day Yki edited the previous night's stuff, I put new reference files together, and we continued with Jason and Pekka until we had what we needed for the 7 songs that have their lead vocals. A big thank you to Kimmo and Jason, the rest of the background vocals will most likely be recorded up in Jyväskylä with some good people after Pekka has his lead vocals down. There's going to be some very interesting things happening in Studio Audio during the next couple of weeks with a very highly regarded pro from the US coming over to show Torsti and Co. how heavy rock is recorded and mixed in the 'big league'. More on that later. Later.

Vocals part 1, Fri Aug 3rd - Sun Aug 5th :: 9.08.2007
Friday August 3rd Time to lay down some mean vocals, eh!?? Arrived to Jyväskylä with Tuoppi around 7 pm. Torsti and Jari Mikkola had the set up ready and I hopped into booth around 8 pm. I decided to go for Stormchild first as we had already played it live on a few occasions, so I figured "let´s start with the one I´m most familiar with". As if it would make it any easier in my case...Anyway, it turned out to be quite easy. The song was done in no time. No biggies there. My voice seems to be in shape so let´s go! So what next? Mr. Universe. OK, this one´s gotta be one of my favourite tracks on the album. It´s just massive with great hooks. Turned out that there are few lines there that demand some serious concentration on the breathing side, so I struggled a bit to find a way to do it so that I wouldn´t collapse during the bridge of the song. My face was turning red and blue every now and then and you can imagine the amount of laughter behind the glass. Bastards. But eventually I found a way to pull it through and I really think you´re gonna like what we came up with. The clock was around 11 pm when we decided to call it a day. Two songs in the can in a couple of hours, we had the whole weekend ahead of us so it was off to bed. Saturday August 4th Had a nice breakfast and bought some mineral water (no Sandels, believe it or not) before arriving to studio around 10 am. Went to the booth at 11 and started banging away. It´s funny sometimes when you just know from the first note that "this is going to be a good day". Run Down The Hill started the day. A great song, pretty fast. There´s a great contrast to the song it being fast but the vocals are mostly in the lower register. Some long and relatively high notes here and there though, during which my voice cracked a bit. Hilarious. Johnny Weissmuller sings Leverage as Torsti put it... Next stop I think was a song called King Of The Night. This song really made its mark during these sessions. Very melodic and a great funny little story, one of my favourite songs to sing right now. It went down very easily. Next up was Don´t Touch The Sun. Unbelievable ballad, or whatever you wanna call it. It´s huge and I just loved singing it. Didn´t take long to nail it. It´s gonna be absolutely fantastic. Shadow In The Rain. A great melody in this driving song with quite a few hooks on the instrumental side. I have no idea what the guys are doing in some parts. OK, in most parts...Tuoppi made some last minute changes to the lyrics which didn´t affect my singing in any ways, those few lines just made more sense now. I really pushed myself in this one and hope it shows on the results. Holy shit, four songs in the can and still going quite strong, what the hell?? Next one was also one of my favourites, Sentenced. A great chorus! I gave it all I got and pretty much nailed it, in my modest opinion. When I walked out of the booth, my body started giving me messages in the vein of "DON´T. SING. ANY. MORE. STUPID." Well I had to try...but it was too much. The song Hellhorn is probably the most difficult song vocal-wise on the album and I should´ve known better to try it at that point. After every line my head was literally about to blow up and I just couldn´t reach the high notes anymore. My voice didn´t crack up or anything, it was my body that gave up. Nice days work anyway, 5 songs. Sunday August 5th No singing today. Yesterday´s marathon had taken its toll. Guys re-amped some solos and we fucked off to Helsinki with Tuoppi around 3 pm. A great weekend indeed, total being 7 songs. The next lead vocal session takes place around August 20th, I still have 5 songs to do. Before that we´ll do some background vocals at Tauko Studios in Espoo with the help of our great friends Kimmo Blom and Jason Flinck who were again kind enough to lend their voices. Laters, be safe! Pekka

More guitars, demos, keyboards... :: 28.07.2007
By TH: I spent the first days of the week inside my little "home studio" working on my solos for the new songs. In Studio Audio, Jari Mikkola was editing drums, bass and rhythm guitars, and at his house, Marko was at work with his keyboards (more to come). I guess Torsti was home playing Yngwie licks... Anyway, Thursday morning at 6AM it was time for me to head up to Jyväskylä. We started at 9 with some clean sound stuff to do. This time we went with our Strats, which have that classy ring to them. Again, we played at the same time and went for a live feel on one of Torsti's songs' intro and verses. Next I played and recorded an intro to a slow tune by myself while the guys took a break. Acoustic guitars were up next, there's a beautiful slow tune by Torsti on the new one that has long passages of just two acoustics going. We thought of recording them also at the same time, it felt good rehearsing, but once we had the mics set up and a sound blocking wall between us in the big room we realized it's not gonna work "live" without a visual contact. What we ended up with was that Torsti nailed his part first and I played mine trying to get as close to his time and feel as possible. Acoustics are a struggle, but finally Jari let us off the hook and I couldn't believe how great those ACs sounded together in the control room. In the afternoon we reamped a few solos that I had with me on a disc, we got a good sound to them sending the recorded dry signal through my Engl to the cabs and then back through the mics. We spent the evening making quick demos for Japan, or Torsti made them and I witnessed the procedure. The record company people there want to hear some of the new stuff, and I guess we'll send those demos to some other parties involved also. We had Pekka's vocals captured from a rehearsal, so we just put them in place and came up with pretty wild-sounding demos for 3 of the new songs. We had some keyboards from Marko sent through the e-mail to get some of him in there too. On Friday I packed most of my gear and drove to Marko's house to see what he's up to with his keys so far. He's got a real nice place 20 minutes from Jyväskylä, and he also has a handy little studio room downstairs. We worked a few hours exchanging ideas on the 8 songs by me, he's got most of it down already, the keys will sound great. Drove to Helsinki, dropped the guitar gear at the music school, got home at about 9PM. Time to call this week a wrap. Next week we'll get together with Pekka to work on some vocal details before he'll enter the studio. There's also still some lines to write and the whole background vocal structure to decide on plus, for sure, a little bit of this and that. Later. TH

Bass & guitars :: 21.07.2007
Hello, here's a bit on how the recordings have gone after Valtteri was done. Pekka played his bass parts during three days, I'll let him write about that. I was there for the last two days, and I think he did a good job. Then it was time for me and Torsti to pick up the ESPs and start bashing. Or, actually, I wish it was that simple. First, we went through all cabinets available, and chose the ones that sounded best for our purposes. Torsti went with his Bogner stack's higher one and I ended up liking Studio Audio's VHT cabinet the most. We both had three microphones carefully placed on the speakers. Then we went inside the control room and placed our amps (Torsti's Bogner & my Engl) there for fine tuning the microphone placement and amp settings hearing them through the monitors. This was all done in the afternoon of Lampinen's last bass day, and when we liked what we heard, we called it a day and went home to be ready to actually play and record on the following day. The following two days were probably the most intense yet fun time we've enjoyed during playing in this band. We played the rhythm guitar tracks for 12 songs in that time. We had the setting to play live (at the same time), and we recorded everything simultaneously, if one of us had a mistake or a bad sounding note, we both played again. With this I believe we managed to create a real tight yet live sounding wall of rhythm guitars for the whole album. Typically, we would rehearse through a song, then discuss and decide on some details, and then start from the beginning and play to a certain point, make sure it rocks and move on. Jari Mikkola recorded the whole session and he made us work hard by not accepting whatever he thought was played bad. Big thanks to him for busting our asses. Next week we'll go back for some acoustic guitars, intros, clean sound parts etc. Until then, TH

Drums. Done. :: 12.07.2007
Valtteri: "Okay, my job is now done. Or, actually it was done yesterday but I was so exhausted after spending two and a half loooong days in studio I couldn't write anything down... anyway, here's a few words about how it all went. Sunday 12AMOn Sunday I went to studio to change drum heads and set up my drums. Nicely thought since then we wouldn't have to do all that on Monday but we could just start micing the drums etc. Well, nicely thought if I hadn't forgotten the drum heads! Moron... Oh well, after a couple of hours I finally got to work. We also recorded click tracks for a couple of possible bonus songs with Torsti, Marko and Pekka L. (click track = bass + guitar + keys + metronome) on Sunday. Monday morning 10AMHere we go: Drums are set up, tuned and now it's time to kick some ass! Not quite yet, dude. First we have to put some mics on your babies and do some soundchecking... After 6 hours.. Start playing!! First one I went for was Stormchild. That is the song we've been playing live a few times and hence was a natural choice to start with. We did a little tweaking (for drum arrangements) here and there. Man, this one will be a killer ride! During our second song (BTW, I won't give out any names here :p ) the bad luck struck me again (I consider forgetting my drum heads as a bad luck, it wasn't my fault! :). What happened was that in the middle of a take my 17" china cymbal broke! D-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-damn!!! Nevertheless, I did that song and a one more (a beautiful ballad, reminds me a bit of "Stranger") that day. Nice! Tuesday 10AMI got a replacement cymbal from a local music store and it was time for a day 2. Now that the things finally got rolling everything went extremely smoothly. We discussed (argued? hmm... not.) about a few things like should that one be played on crash cymbal or ride cymbal. Or should I play that hellish double bass drum there... or not. Most of the time it was: not. definitely. not. Anyway, I nailed five songs on Tuesday including some of the fastest things we've done as well as some of the heaviest and.. gloomiest(?)... heh, you'll hear, you'll hear :) Wednesday 12AM (or actually 12:30... I had to make some potatoes..)Tuomas was back in Helsinki 'cause we finished all of his songs on Monday and would now do the remaining four songs written by Torsti. These include: "fast song" "almost-as-fast-song" "not-fast-but-heavy-song" "not-fast-at-all-but-bigger-than-life-song" Great tunes and I was more than happy to be able to put a couple of nice treats there! The conclusionSo. 12 songs and most likely 10 of these will make it to the final album with 2 saved for the Japan edition. What can I say! The material sounds so strong that this will surely be the follow up that Tides deserves!! Can't wait to hear it myself and can't wait for you to hear it! Laters!!!!"

Recordings of the second album start on Monday! :: 7.07.2007
On Monday morning we will set the wheels in motion by entering Studio Audio once again to make a follow-up to our debut album Tides! We have spent the last weeks rehearsing like maniacs and putting together all the material and what we now have is a good bunch of kick-ass songs!
